Obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Journalism & Communications at Carleton University in 2017, Shaunice took the plunge to follow her first passion in Athletic Therapy. She completed her degree at Sheridan College in 2019 to become a Certified Athletic Therapist CAT(c).
To accompany her skills as an Athletic Therapist, Shaunice enrolled into the Accelerated Massage Therapy program at the Ontario College of Health & Technology and received her Registration in Massage Therapy (RMT).
Shaunice is an excellent communicator. This is essential for creating a dialogue of understanding between her patients about healthcare.
With a focus on developing a strong foundation in the body with massage therapy, exercise and functional movement patterns, Shaunice's goal is to treat the body holistically by bridging both manual and physical therapy together. Being an Athletic Therapist, Shaunice is able to provide emergency response during sporting (court and field) events and quickly identify, assess and treat injuries that may have been sustained.
In the world outside of sports, Shaunice treats a wide variety of musculo-skeletal and soft tissue injuries that are necessary for "day to day" activity and overall well-being.
Although her special interest is in basketball athletes and working with teams, Shaunice enjoys offering care for all stages and walks of life. Mostly, she enjoys seeing progress and celebrating those little victories!
