Shawn D'Souza B.Sc., Dip.O.M.P., Dip Sc.O 

Osteopathic Manual Practitioner 

Originally, a computer engineering graduate from the University of Toronto, Shawn has completed the 5 year curriculum at the Canadian College of Osteopathy (Toronto Campus) in May 2022. Shawn completed his Osteopathic clinical research in "Osteopathic Palpation through the lens of Cognitive Science". He received his Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Therapy (D.O.M.P) and a diploma in the Science of Osteopathy (D.Sc.O) in July 2024. He also received the A.T Still Award for his contribution to Osteopathic research. 

Shawn is excited to use Osteopathy’s unique perspective and practice to help people regain thier quality of life and live as pain-free as possible. His approach incorporates various Osteopathic manual techniques including: Joint mobilizations, cranial-sacral, visceral and myo-fascial manipulation. Using these and other tools, Shawn strives to create a tailored approach to support every patient’s unique situation and needs. Listening to each patient’s circumstances, Shawn strives with every treatment to empower his clients and help them live lives filled with health and vitality. 

 

Fun fact, engineering in Osteopathy is a concept that is applied to the human body! As quoted by A.T. Still, "The best osteopath is the best engineer; the best engineer is the best osteopath". Shawn embraces this philosophy in every treatment to assist his clients in their journey of pain management, with the goal to be pain free.

Shawn is a father of 2 young children and a devoted husband.
